Is eliminating all bad things in a society actually bad for it?
Its like making sure your infant wont come in contact with any viruses or bacteria then it wont build up any immunity.. which is bad!!
Or removing all drugs and potentially dangerous activities ...
I think its a good thing to be curious about drugs and awesome that your trying new dangerous things, because where would we as a race be without the curiosity and courage we had in the past?
All these strange people that are trying to eliminate all possible danger to their kids and loved ones are actually harming them in my opinion!
On the whole, I was with you ~ until you threw up that word 'Awesome' ~ and at that point I left the scene.
You are correct in that the individuals that go to comprise of the human race, need to test out their strengths and courage in any number of ways ~ wherein it is wise to take the necessary precautions to minimise the risk of physical injury and risk to life itself.
However, I really do NOT think of it as so mind numbingly simplistically 'awesome' (= 'inspiring' or 'inspirational') and a > good thing to be curious about drugs and awesome that your trying new dangerous things <.
It is a good thing to be curious, but it is better to be 'curious and armed with FULL knowledge of what THINGS can do to the human body' ~ and just how easily the human body can be 'Damaged' by such apparently minimal things as drugs.
