All Through Night
how do you get a 4 yr old child to sleep all through the night.He keeps getting up and coming to parents bed?
My girlfriends 4 yr old son usually goes to bed at the same time at night 8pm but by 3 am he gets up and comes to her room( Mom ) by the time she walks him back upstairs to his bed she is usually wide awake and can't fall back asleep . She has to be at work at 7am. is there any suggestions on what can be done?
Well in order for your or your girlfriends child to sleep the child has to be tired. As you may know kids are hyper-active and need a good amount of exercise in order to feel tired. Should try not to make them do physical exercise near bed-time as it will awaken them more. Make sure they are in bed by 9:00PM. Maybe a bed time story may help them feel a bit sleepy and a glass of milk with not to much sugar in or not at all in that case. Make sure they have no sugary snacks near bed time, they should just be tired and ready for bed.
I suppose all of this is harder in reality but if you try and make it a habit i'm sure you'll work wonders.
