Myths about how different cultures explained the world around them?
Do any of you know a website that tells myths about how different cultures explained the world around them? ...Or maybe you can share with me how your culture explained the world around them or what you know.
I really need some myths...
You could talk about how people used to believe the world was flat, or that the earth was the centre of the universe. The Greeks would be worth looking into as they had loads of beliefs of different gods and prayed to different ones depending on what they wanted to happen.
You could also look at witchcraft and paganism - medieval people used to explain simple natural events by magic/ changes in the moon and stars e.g. crops growing, the weather, birth, menstruation etc...
