When will the Beatles 'Let It Be' film be coming out on dvd?
I read that when the Beatles issued thier 'de-Phil Spectorized 'Let It Be- Naked" cd, the long out of print 'Let It Be' film was due to come out on dvd- But a treasure trove of behind the scenes footage surfaced- so the dvd release of the film was delayed- so some extra footage could be added.
Has anyone heard any word as to WHEN the 'Let it Be' film will officially be issued on dvd? It's been on bootleg for years, but I dont think it has officially been in print since the early 1980s. And while Im at it, why has the film been out of print for some many years? Is it because the Beatles were embarassed? (as the studio performaces were by and large the weakest of thier careers)
I read that it's supposed to come out September 2007, but there is no official date yet.
