Days of Our Lives-- Mickey Horton?
I am a few days behind on Days, but I am wondering if I missed something? Remember the days when soaps would have a short voice over that said something like, "the role of Mickey Horton is now being played by_____."? Maybe they did it and I missed it, but I am confused, not only by the casting change, but by the casting choice.
What the heck is up with the new Mickey Horton? John Clarke played him for like 40 years and was great. The character was normal and respectable-- admired in Salem. Then he was replaced by John Ingle who played him like a bumbling, confused old man on the verge of the Alzheimer's wing, easily seduced by that fruit basket Bonnie Lockhart. Now, this new actor... Kevin Dobson... Since when are the Hortons New York mafiosos? I know Salem is nowhere to be found on the map, but I didn't think it was that close to the Bronx. What is up with that? Anyone else totally confused by this casting change/choice? It's distracting.
Is another casting chage in the works?
I remember when the voice from beyond used introduce the new character, not this time. I think I've seen the new Mickey in tv shows or something. He does act the a hit man or some kind of mafia type. I think he's gonna have something to do with EJ Sami & Nicole some how. Speaking of Noicole-YUK! personally. Well, keep watching...more to come.
