Why do the producers of Family Guy dissect episodes in volumes instead of have 1 whole season on 1 disc set?
It seems to me they are trying to rip people off with pieces of episodes in a disc set. I just don't understand it.
It's the way the industry is moving for animation in general. Put out 4-episode discs first, and later on release a season set. And yes, it IS trying to rip people off...or, to be less accusatory, trying to get as much money as they can for the same content. They know there will be people who will buy both versions, after all. And putting out the partial season sets first makes them more money than the other way around.
