What is Andy Taylor, from Duran Druan, doing musically these days?
Since the band members kicked him out last year, has he got any new projects? Will his work still be on the new Duran Duran CD, due later this year?
Andy Taylor owns and runs a record studio on the Spanish island of Ibiza; go to http://www.myspace.com/andytaylorstudiosibiza to see and hear his latest collaborations (mostly with singer Liam Keenan) since leaving Duran Duran.
No one knows yet whether Andy's work will remain on the new album; it depends on how drastically the existing music is reworked by the new production team.
When John Taylor left the band in 1997 during the making of the album "Medazzaland", they kept his bass work on four songs (including "Be My Icon" which he composed -- although his version, with his own lyrics rather than Simon Le Bon's, was called "Butt Naked".) The band reworked other songs with Warren Cuccurullo on bass, and also wrote new songs that John wasn't involved in.
We'll just have to wait and see what they've done with Andy's work when the album comes out.
