Hall Concert
What is the best design for a concert hall, acoustics/harmonics wise?
-I'm doing this for an elementary physics class
-My theme is jazz, so the frequency is going to be mid-high
-Any explanation for WHY this is best would be very helpful

Modern design for concert halls is a rectangular shape with a serrated ceiling to minimize echo effect.However I personally feel that the Greek design of a semi- circular sloping auditorium is a much better idea as sound is reflected back from all ways evenly so that the echo is non existent. There is a story that Sir Winston Churchill in WW2 wanted to address the troops but that no sound equipment was available so they used an old Greco Romano amphitheater with excellent results.
