If I want to pursue an engineering career, which of those schools would be the best to apply to?
Any, but there are no less than 10 - 20 schools that have better Engineering programs than any Ivy League. MIT, Cal Tech, Carnegie Mellon, Rose-Hulman, Georgia Tech, Berkeley just to name a few.
