OPERA..MOZART.....The Magic Flute. Who is your favorite performer of the Queen of the Night?
Just today I mentioned the Queen of the Night in a question not related to Opera, but since then I have been thinking about my favorite performer from the past, Roberta Peters. Who has heard her fantastic performance with Herbert von Karajan? She is still my favorite singer for that role.
A very close second is the young soprano Diana Damrau.... listen to her dramatic recording and tell me your thoughts and feelings.

My favorite performer of "Queen of the Night" is . . .
. . . me on my Carvin seven-string guitar. I enjoy playing others more than Mozart, but I have played the "Queen of the Night" aria on guitar in front of a crowd. Sometimes a person or two even recognizes it.
