This You Tube video is of Jimmy Clanton (Louisiana singer of the 50s and 60s). I am on it! He came in concert?
to New Orleans and my Red Hat group went to see him. We are the first group shown. I am the one right behind him over his left shoulder, then the third again, with my hands raised! He is signing our poster. Jimmy Clanton was born here in my home town and made it pretty big for a while with hits, "Just a Dream", "Go Jimmy Go", "Venus in Blue Jeans". He made this Red Hatters album and has 3 songs dedicated to the Red Hatters. He told me we were the first red hatters ever to his concerts and that we inspired him!

If I ever get to be so old that I cannot remember " Just a Dream " I'll be ready to cross over the great divide. And as for Louisiana , I know that somewhere along the Bayou Teche, close to St. Martinsville, there is one of the gates into heaven. I have been there many times and driven the road beside Bayou Teche. If I can , I will be a happy Texan to go through The Teche Gate.
