Five Months To Lose for the Summer.........Down to the Nitty Gritty. Is this possible?
I'm 5-5....weight 163.....female......22. I've been working out at the gym with cardio and weights. I've been watching what I eat. I want to lose 20 pounds by June...and I want my tummy a bit flatter. I don't want to get discouraged...please tell me if 20 pounds is reasonable.......and if so.........do you have any pointers? I just need words of wisdom here.
Twenty pound by this summer is TOTALLY reasonable. It's a very healthy goal, very doable. And it sounds like you're doing what you need to be doing to lose the weight.
Remember, you can really only lose 1-2 pounds a week safely. Any more than that is likely water weight. Also, allow yourself one day a week to "cheat." That way, if you really want something that doesn't fit in to your diet, save it for your cheat day. I've found that this not only keeps me from cheating during the week, but it helps keep me motivated because I know I'll have that one day to eat what I want, and it's not going to ruin the whole diet for me.
