How much should a visual artist be compensated by a record label to design a piece of art for a CD cover?
A record label may be wanting to use my art for their artist CD cover. What's the ballpark amount recording labels pay for something like this?
This isnt the kind of place you should be asking that question.
Those people are pulling numbers out of their rears.
If you really want to find out go to the record company with an attorny and ask them what they usually do, and ask to speak with other album cover artists they have used in the past.
