White Band
My Dell Latitude D810 computer has a narrow black and white band/streak running down the middle of the screen.?
What can I do to get rid of it?
This is a dell is a laptop computer.
If possible you should try hooking the system up to an external monitor. If the same image is displayed on an external monitor then the graphics card or motherboard will need to be replaced (this really depends how the system was configured).

If the system came with the ATI X300 then the motherboard will need to be replaced. The process for doing this can be viewed here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/latd810/sm/x300/sysboard.htm#wp1000473
If the image is not displayed on the external monitor then there is a good chance that the LCD will need to be replaced. Before buying a replacement LCD you should try reseating the Display Cable Connector.
