who will you vote for on Thursdays general election?
on the (British) elections on Thursday which party will you vote for and why, and which part of Britain do you come from
I will vote for the Labour party because this is the party that will best support me and my family.Because my work doesn't pay me so much(only £ 5.00 an Hour ;this is the minimum wage in the U.K.) i need to maintain my level of income.I fear that the Conservative party and the Liberal Democrats would abolish the minimum wage.My income would inevitably shrink if any one other than the labour party were in power.
Furthermore our education system would be under fire as the conservatives would reduce spending in this area of the economy.Poorer kids would struggle if finance was the arbiter as to a person getting good grades. There would be less of the gifted and able poorer people and a consequent rise in kids getting to university just because they could afford it better.
Besides , i notice that the Conservative leader(David Cameron) is like a political "butterfly" he sees a popular policy and flies to it ;then when it no longer serves it's purpose he drops that idea and goes onto the next ,and the next ; ad nauseum.
Gordon Brown is consistent in his political views.
The Labour leader(Gordon Brown) showed his true mettle when he amongst other world leaders i.e. Barack Obama, introduced the idea that banks would have to be bailed out;however much it goes against the grain to use public money to rescue wasteful and imprudent banks.I am afraid that this had to happen otherwise the recession woul have been immensely more painful for all the free world's countries;with a consequent huge loss of jobs. If you think back to the 1930's in the wake of the Wall street Crash then the American president set in train a program of providing jobs for the poor.So there is a precedent. I say that Gordon Brown has shown he is strong and what's more has experience(he was the best chancellor of the exchequer Britain has had in the last 30 years.
Britain needs experienced leaders as we still have a little more to do to get out of this credit crunch.
I live in Liverpool(England) of which i am very proud to say that's my "home town".We are a very humorous crowd of people; being mixed ancestry of Irish(from which a large part of our accent comes from)also Welsh and Lancashire accents.We are very supportive of people who fall on hard times;and don't think twice about helping people because we know they would return the favour.
